A Day in the Life of a Wightons Technician
Morning Routine
My day starts bright and early at 6 a.m. After a quick breakfast, I load up my trusty van with all the necessary tools and equipment for the day ahead. As an HVAC technician at Wighton’s, I never know what challenges might come my way, so it’s essential to be prepared for anything.
First Call
The first job of the day is a routine AC repair at a residential home in Pismo Beach. The homeowner has reported that their air conditioning unit isn’t cooling properly, which is a common issue during the hot summer months. After a thorough inspection, I discover a refrigerant leak and quickly get to work fixing the problem.
Lunch Break
- Stop for a quick bite at a local cafe in San Luis Obispo
- Check in with the office to see if any emergency calls have come in
- Restock supplies and prepare for the afternoon jobs
Afternoon Appointments
The next job is a furnace repair in Grover Beach. The homeowner has reported that their furnace is making strange noises and not heating properly. After a thorough inspection, I determine that the issue is with the blower motor and replace it with a new one.
The final job of the day is a new AC installation in Arroyo Grande. The homeowners have just moved in and want to upgrade to a more energy-efficient system. I work diligently to ensure that the installation is done correctly and to the highest standards.
End of the Day
After a long day of servicing various HVAC systems, I head back to the office to drop off my tools and complete any necessary paperwork. As a technician at Wighton’s, it’s a privilege to serve the San Luis Obispo County community and help keep families comfortable in their homes. I take great pride in my work and look forward to another day of solving HVAC challenges and providing top-notch service.
